Empowering Students through a Business Workplace Simulation: I am currently an English teacher at an inner-city neighborhood school in Chicago. While the high school itself is large, the school has been structured into separate learning communities, or "small schools" to allow teachers to work closely with the same group of students. Within this structure, I decided to create a Business English elective class to help Seniors prepare for college and the workplace beyond.
