My students are fast becoming fluent readers and like to spend time practicing this new skill. However, sitting at their desk in their school chair doesn’t seem to be an appealing place to read for most of my first graders, so they find different areas around my classroom to do their reading. The requested soft seats will accommodate 21 students. I hope this will help to foster a lifelong love of reading for my students. The tent and log cushion pillows will now be used to create a fun and creative reading nook/corner for all students to enjoy. All of these cushions and tent will be used daily with the students. We currently have uncomfortable chairs that are not fun for everyone. But, that is about to change! This will create a positive reinforcement for reading. I cannot wait to see the positive impact that these materials have in the classroom!
