One of the ways I best meet the needs of my students is to continue to grow as an educator. The goal of this project will enable me to allow opportunities for my students to become strategic and proficient readers and writers. This professional development will help me prepare intentional targeted lessons to help engage my students to be critical thinkers, proficient readers as well as independent and confident readers. Funding this project will equip me with simple and engaging reading strategies to build their comprehension skills as well as building their vocabulary. The knowledge gained from this professional development and the implementation of the knowledge gained will allow me to give my students fun and engaging learning experiences.
