My school is a school wide Title I school with approximately 660 students enrolled. Of the students enrolled, over 50% receive free or reduced price lunches. The surrounding area has limited business opportunities especially with the closing of our local paper mill. Because of the rural area, the majority of students do not have outside access to technology. My classroom has one desktop computer for their use. We have wireless access available, so often my students use their personal cell phones for research. My students are interested in using technology and multimedia to express themselves. Access to this technology will help my students develop the skills that can support future learning.
