I am a teacher at a STEM school. With this we integrate STEM across content areas to build upon student interest and curiosity. We personalize their learning around their level of understanding, abilities, learning styles and interests. Throughout the day they attend seminars in the main content areas that are "just right" for them. When they are not in a seminar with a teacher, they are independently or collaboratively working in workshop. Independent practice, technology and collaborative learning opportunities are all integrated into workshop time. When I'm not leading seminars, I confer with students one on one in workshop to gain more insight into where they are and how we can move them forward.
