Providing more Chromebooks for our students allows them to engage in their learning. While the students here share their devices well with a group of two or three, imagine how learning will be positively impacted when each student is able to be the one responding to the teacher's lesson in Google Classroom instead of watching another student respond. We are striving for a one-to-one ratio with our devices, but we have a long way to go. With over 700 students at our school, we currently have 132 Chromebooks available for use in the classroom. Grade levels share a set of 15 devices and rotate during the week which class uses them each day. Increasing the number of Chromebooks available will give our students the necessary tools to participate in their learning and not just observe.
