I teach in a public school district in Meridian MS. My elementary school embraces school wide positive behavior intervention and support (SWPBIS) for students, implementing the best evidence-based academic and behavioral practices for improving important academic and behavior outcomes for all students. We are a model school for the MS arts Commission's Whole Schools Initiative. It has a student to teacher ratio of 16:1. My classroom is filled with racially/diverse students, as well as diverse in access to resources. Our students are in need of a classroom designed for 21st century learning. With an I-pad we can further this 21st century learning.
