Many students I work with have a difficult time sitting in regular chairs (as do I sometimes!). Students with autism are constantly seeking sensory input and sometimes this comes across as negative behavior. I've put Bouncy Bands on my chairs in my classroom and this works for some. Others really need to move around -read: wiggle - in their seats and the wobble chairs will be a perfect, safe way for them to do that. The cooperative game is great for encouraging interactive play with no worries about "winning" and "losing." I can work on social skills such as turn taking, working together as part of a group and encourage conversation while playing this game. The gel mats will provide sensory feedback for stepping on as well as sitting - providing a clear space to remain in while on the floor or carpet. They will love the texture and the colors!
