Our students our very enthusiastic and love coming to music lessons. Retention rates have also been high. Our school district provides instruments for all of the students and very few children are able to rent. With the growth of the program, buying a few cellos or bass can quickly "eat up" the budget. This summer, we fixed over 50 instruments by using concert money and repair money. We still could use more help in getting certain instruments. Over the years, I purchased 2 violins, a viola, 2 cellos, and bass. These instruments are still being used by the students. Some other wonderful people in the area have also helped donate instruments to our growing program. Even with all of the help, we are still in need of violas, especially the 13" sized violas. Who wants to turn viola players away? It would be such a great help to feel like we can all "get" to our students who want to play, especially kids who want to do the viola!
