I am a gifted education teacher, so I teach students who have been identified as needing special education services due to their high intelligence. I work with some AMAZING kids-- not only are they intelligent, they are thoughtful, funny, innovative, and kind. Our school, with over 750 students, is the most populated school in the county. We are officially considered a low-income school, but we have passionate teachers and dedicated administrators who are committed to providing our students with the best educational experience possible. Our student population outweighs our building's physical parameters, so we have to be creative in how our schedules work. Many teachers, including myself, are traveling teachers. Traveling teachers use other teachers' classrooms while they are on their planning periods. As a traveling teacher, I do not have a set classroom, and instead push a cart with my materials around to six different classrooms throughout the day.
