I have many students that often don't have opportunities at home and I need to equip them with the skills to fulfill their dreams of being an astronaut, scientist, or even an owner of their own company. Many have challenges such as poverty, having to help translate for a parent, homeless, and little or no parent support. They need opportunities to practice their facts using all modes of learning including hearing, writing, hands on, and visually. This will allow all the student to gain a love of math and open many doors to new and exciting learning. The later they learn their math facts the further behind they become. I want my students to love math and not struggle through math. These hands on activities will allow the children to develop a love of math.
