This printer and scanner will be used primarily for my newspaper class, however it will enhance the engagement of all students in my classroom, and all students in our middle school (approximately 1000 students). Students from throughout the school submit self drawn comics to the newspaper, we publish and distribute the newspaper with our articles and student drawn submissions to the entire school once per month. Providing this printer will allow the quality of our student created newspaper to appear more professional, giving students pride in their own work and creating a broader interest and participation from the rest of the school. Students in my history classes will also use the printer for occasional printing of color images that will be used to create projects. This gives students an appreciation for the depth and beauty of places and artifacts from history throughout the world.
