My students come from a very low socioeconomic background. They don't have the support at home to help them be successful in school. A lot of the parents another language other than English or their English is very limited. Therefore, they are unable to help their child on homework or have an academic conversation about what their child is learning in school. The school I'm at is a Title I school with eager kids willing and ready to learn. We just have to provide them with the tools to be successful.
