I teach at a Title I school located in Georgia. We are on a great journey to become the first STEM school in our county! Even though Science and Math are in the forefront of our curriculum, literacy is not taking a backseat. Ever since our school opened in 1996, statewide assessments have shown reading and language arts to be our top subjects. We strive to create a community of articulate learners. More specifically, I teach a wonderful group of active first graders. They love to engage in a variety of hands-on learning experiences.
