Welcome to Pre-K! My students are 3 and 4 years old! They are fun, creative, imaginative, and inquisitive! My students are like sponges as they absorb everything that is taught to them at this age! They are so excited and eager to learn. The most satisfying moments for me are when a child's face lights up when they discover something for the first time! An important aspect of Pre-K is learning, exploring, and discovering through play. These children learn the best when they can see it, touch it, and be involved in the learning. I can relate my classroom to a family of bees. When you see a bee hive, you see bees all swarming around chaotically, however, you know that they are all working together, each doing their own job. So it is in my classroom. When you look, it appears chaotic as the students are moving around and working at different centers, but look closer, and you see that each child is purposely learning, exploring, and doing work at the center they chose to "play" at.
