I am deeply privileged to have the opportunity to teach such resilient and thoughtful young people. It would be impossible to describe the great diversity and individuality of each of my students, but a common theme for all of them is an inner strength that propels them to attend school each day despite societal and economic obstacles that pull them in alternative directions. Teaching art to these amazing young people provides me with the unique opportunity to equip them with new ways of expressing themselves and sharing their perspective with others.
