As part of our preschool curriculum, we are encouraged to set up fun and engaging learning centers in our classrooms. One of my students' favorite activities to do during choice time is to create original art using supplies from our art cabinet. This is an activity that all children can enjoy, regardless of ability level or age. Last year, one of my students announced that he was the "Art Teacher" and set up one of our classroom tables for a "lesson". He then proceeded to demonstrate how to cut and glue paper to make a collage! He had several eager "students" join him at the table! This year, I would like to set up a special center for free choice art activities, with a separate table and chairs, space for supplies, and also space for the display of original creations! The table and chairs I have chosen for this project will be a wonderful addition to this center.
