My kids work very hard in and out of the classroom. Parents work full-time jobs and sometimes more than one. We are mostly a financially disadvantaged community but are all family. The community is fully involved in the school and parents support student learning as much as they can but they cannot support them with money. Students are involved in athletics starting in 7th grade which boosts school spirit creating a bigger family bond between students.
