My students are a group of very high spirited individuals who are thirsty for knowledge and the consistency that school provides them with. I have wonderful students who bring me joy, laughter and sometimes heartbreak. My school is located in a high poverty area and many of my students do not have many, if any, resources at home to help them in school. My students come from diverse backgrounds and many of them come to school with next to nothing. Some of my students don't have stable home lives and look for school to be their stability. My students' lack of access to resources at home means that many of my students are academically behind. I am pushing for my students to grow and learn and hopefully reach proficiency by the time they leave third grade.
