My 30 kindergarteners are eager to learn, excited about school, brilliant, and creative. We are incredibly diverse, and located in a high-poverty area. Over 80% of our students are economically disadvantaged and receive free or reduced price lunch. Our school is incredibly diverse. Our students are Hispanic, African-American, Filipino, Middle-Eastern, Pacific Islander, Caucasian, and Asian. Our students speak many different languages, including Spanish, Tagalog, Arabic, Vietnamese, and Hindi. 53% speak a language other than English at home. Our school is full of warm and loving students, teachers, and staff members. We are a tight-knit community that cares about academic excellence, social justice, physical education, the arts, and technology! Our mission is to create life-long, independent learners.
