Getting priorities in place. I teach first grade in a high poverty area. I have watched the achievement gap stretch wider where academics are concerned with my school in comparison to other schools. The lack of resources and interactive materials available to our students has a lot to do with it. I would like to provide my students with a fair chance at a quality education despite their current circumstances.
