My students are a wonderful mixture of high-poverty, free lunch students to the average middle-class family. I hate to describe them that way though because they are all students who want to do their best, even those who need a little nudge. So many of them tell me that science is not their favorite or they are not good at it. I think they have not been intrigued enough or found real-world connections!
