I am a teacher of a class of 29 wonderful kindergarten students in a Title I school in Maryland. My students love to listen to stories and talk about the illustrations. They've learned how to make collages with cut paper and sketch figures with pencils. They love to experiment with color using tempura, watercolors, markers, tissue paper, and bio-colors. My students are exploring ways to express themselves and their feelings about the stories we read by some of their favorite authors: J. Brett, K. Henkes,E. Carle, E.J. Keats, Margaret W. Brown and Dr. Seuss. Thanks to donorschoose, I had plenty of materials to cover most of last year and part of this year. We have used up all of our art supplies and need to replenish.
