Most students are visual learners and having a document camera will allow students to follow along with the lessons. Students are used to learning with a document camera, so by having one during long-distance it will give them a sense of normalcy during these times. One of the best ways for students to learn is through the teacher modeling the lessons. The document camera will allow me to stay connected with my students and teach them as if we were in the classroom. The more I can create an online environment that reflects the teaching in my classroom, the more successful my students will be. My goal is that this document camera will bring me closer to achieving that. Making long-distance not so distant.
