I teach at a school where the majority of the students come from low socioeconomic families. They have next to nothing, and appreciate absolutely everything you do with and for them. They are very eager to learn which makes me want to do as much as I can to enhance their learning environment with more ways that they can work closer with me and with each other. Our school does as much as it can on their budget, but we, as teachers, end up supplying a lot for our classrooms, and we can only do so much as well. I guess in knowing where my students come from, I want to be able to provide them with as much as I can educationally. I think if we continue to improve how and what the students are learning, we will continue to see improvements in our student's mentally and academically.
