We are an urban elementary school in Boston. Most of our students do not speak English at home, so it is very important for them to come to school and learn how to properly speak and read the English language. These children are amazing! My students are third graders. Many of them come from low income homes. Most of my students eat a free breakfast and lunch during the day. They do not have IPODS and laptops. The only technology they see are the computers at school. My hope is that they will continue to explore the world around them through their education. I want to give these children the best education I possibly can. I want to make their school day as interactive as possible, so they will become participants in their education! Just because these students live in a low income neighborhood, shouldn't mean that they can't have access to the latest technology and trends in education.
