I am a second year teacher in a rural area teaching students with exceptional needs! We all have different abilities and challenges that look like obstacles sometimes, but potential is endless when we work together to overcome them. I teach in a high school non-dipolma track setting that is decked out in all camouflage, teaching students who range in age from 14-21. Some students see me for 1 block a day, while some students are with me all day. We work on reading, writing, math, social skills, and our work from other classes. Our classroom is a safe haven where we can learn our way and on our time.
