My second grade class consists of 26 students. Ten of these students are girls. One of these girls came from Venezuela. She didn't receive much art in the classroom. Some of the other boys in the class don’t really like art. I want to help them realize that it can be fun. As I have implemented some art in the classroom, I have noticed that some of the students have a real talent for drawing. I would like to enhance and strengthen their gifts. Our school is a Title One school. A lot of students struggle with reading and writing. Our school does not have any new supplies. We have old computers that run on XP (which is not supported anymore). We also don’t have any art supplies to do creative projects. Even though we don't have a lot, they are eager to learn, are good listeners, and they want to try new things!
