The students at Yes Prep North Central are predominately hispanic and low income. Despite the low income status of my students, they have the drive to be successful in high school and beyond. I have conversations with students everyday about what they want for their future and they always tie it back to their family. They want to go to college and have little to no doubt that they will get there. The school is a family in itself, so the students know they have classmates, alumni, teachers and staff who they can have as a support system. They are absolutely tremendous kids who just need opportunities.
