Students having the availability of a variety of reading material through multiple genres allows them to be exposed to a collection of genres. The StoryWorks Jr subscription includes 6 issues with 32 pages of thrilling texts in multiple genres, including nonfiction, short fiction, read-aloud plays, paired texts, poetry and more. It will also include activities and formative assessments that reinforce foundational skills (learning to read) and build comprehension skills (reading to learn). The subscription will have online differentiation tools, including printable lower Lexile® versions of articles and activities, audio read alouds, and knowledge-building videos. It will also contain knowledge-building connections to science and social studies topics, along with online resources including digital articles, dazzling videos, differentiation tools, and dozens of skills sheets. The Scholastic News subscription includes 24 issues. It is the only nonfiction and current events magazine made just for the third-grade classroom. Each issue uses short, on-level texts to engage students, build language arts skills, and increase science and social studies knowledge. There is the availability with online resources like digital editions, videos, Text-to-Speech audio, and more–all included with your subscription. Geography Spin lets the students explore the world with Geography that includes monthly issues feature four colorful pages filled with fun geography articles and activities.  Science Spin allows students to explore science through the power of text with colorful pages filled with a wide range of crosscutting concepts that span every scientific domain.
