The Lyon K-8 is a full inclusion K-8 school. We specialize in the inclusion of students who struggle specifically with behavioral issues as well as many other learning disabilities. Special needs students are in the regular classroom all day. They are not sent to separate classrooms. We love the opportunity to offer a wide variety of academic and cultural experiences. Many of our students come from unstable home environments and we try to provide a safe and stable place for them each day - a place that offers a sanctuary from past experiences and also an environment in which they can learn new concepts that will assist their growth as a member of the community at school, at home, and in their particular neighborhood.
