I have 22 unique kids. A majority of them are below poverty level which may enable them to travel, get the funds for extra help, or in most cases, not have anyone there to help them at home. It is difficult to reach each student ALL the time and giving them these technology tools, is giving them another teacher and the key to the outside world. With the Kindle Fire's they will be able to hear and see books online that will help enhance their comprehension. They will also be able to practice their fluency, any math facts, research, apps that will help with practice, and much more. Having the headphones will help drownout the world around them. Many ADD kids cannot handle distractions, especially when reading. This will help these students stay focused and excited about what they will read. We also do mystery codes, videoing, making movies, and taking pictures in our classroom. Public speaking is a huge part of Common Core.The ipads give us the ability to record and evaluate.
