I have a class full of students who what their "brains to grow!". I try to teach my students that our brains are muscles that we train to make bigger. No one is born dumb or born smart, everyone can learn. Many of my students have parents with minimal education, so they do not get a lot of educational support at home. My school is in Oakland California and has 100 percent of students on free lunch.
