Jamestown Elementary is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. This year I am teaching a 6th grade class with 29 students. I look for and often create opportunities for my students to engage in hands-on leaning on and off of our campus. An important goal for me this year is to begin transitioning to the NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards). In so doing, I am working hard to integrate the science standards across the curriculum.
