My students are teenagers who are searching for lots of love and attention. They need direction and people to help guide in life as well as in their academic life. Most of my students are really low level and find themselves resisting the gift of learning. They tend to be insecure and confused about life and where they tend to fit in the lives of their families. My school has been undergoing some transitional phases within the last few years from a big comprehensive high school to having smaller academies within the school. I think with the proper execution of leadership it can produce students that are able to learn despite their environment.
