My students live in the city of Detroit, and our school is a part of Detroit Public Schools. My students need basic supplies ("bear" necessities) in order to be successful in school. My students are energetic, bright, and eager to learn; they just need a boost to get them going! Our school is dedicated to providing not only the best education to our children but also the best environment and supporting community. Our mission is to instill a love of learning for our children for the rest of their lives. My students need basic hygiene tools - paper towels, soap, clorox wipes, and tissue paper. They need basic school supplies as well - pencils, markers, paper, and white boards. They need bookshelves to store the books we have in the classroom, and headphones to enhance their reading stations to help them read.
