Hello! I am a US History teacher at Buck Lodge Middle School, a Title I school in a community just outside of Washington, DC. I have the privilege of teaching my students about America's place in the world as a modern democratic society, the ins and outs of the Constitution, and how we are all interconnected in a global community. My students are incredibly diverse! We have students and families hailing from all over the world including Mexico, Central and South America, the West Indies, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Africa, and elsewhere. They are creative, outspoken, and want to make a difference. Most students receive free or reduced lunch, many speak English as a second language, and a large percentage of students face a number of challenges and hardships at home. They are great kids and deserve the best possible education. I look forward to hearing from you, and thank you in advance for your help! -Mr. Kelly
