My students have challenging behaviors and short attention spans at times. I work hard to hold their attention to maximize their comfort and learning. Flexible seating and a new carpet would help to give students comfortable, flexible seating options, as well as the chance for me to teach smaller groups on a nice carpet. When students work in pairs or small groups, there is not comfortable space and seating choices around the room. It would be great for them to be able to take a small and portable seat around the room to learn. The carpet would also allow for small group focus or whole group.
