My students are fourth grade students in a very high poverty neighborhood, most recieve free and reduced lunch. Many of these students do not get the educational support they need from their parents because many of the parents are just struggling to get food on the table for their children. Even through this, my students are always eager to learn. They love to explore new things. We have fun together, learn together, support each other; we are a family!
