Our school is rural and high poverty. My students are eager to learn about computer science and environmental science. My students come from various backgrounds and abilities. Our district is 78.6% poverty level, which makes even basic needs hard to come by. My students are located in three different counties and are in rural, remote settings. There is very little diversity and students have few opportunities for interaction with other campuses. I want to prepare my students for real-world problems using STREAM, but I do not have the resources in my district to bring the latest technology and materials to my classroom. To accomplish this I plan to use Robotics curriculum, 3D printing, computer coding, recording and film editing, critical thinking, and other STREAM materials. Students will be able to compete with the latest technology and experience cultural diversity.
