Our school is located in a rural area of New Jersey that has recently begun aggressive suburban redevelopment. In addition, the district has recently had numerous resignations and retirements at the upper administrative level. My classroom has students between the ages of 13 and 18, with the majority (~75%) being of ethnic minority. Throughout the day, my room is used for the instruction of special education, general level, and college preparatory physical science classes.
