Scholastic News and Time for Kids Magazine will give students the opportunity to read nonfiction texts and to learn more about current events that are happening in the world. I have never used these magazines in my classroom before, but I know that they will be beneficial for my students. The content that is displayed in these magazines are engaging and linked to the grade level standards for reading. Students will also be able to practice their reading fluency and comprehension skills with real magazines. My students will be able to work on identifying informational text structures, summarizing stories, and identifying text features when reading these magazines. Scholastic News and Time for Kids Magazines will keep my students engaged and ultimately boost their reading skills. Thank you for giving my students this wonderful opportunity.
