Flexible seating allows my students to take control of their learning. My students love to work in different areas of the classroom during independent work time. I have noticed they are more engaged and complete their work in a timely manner when they are able to pick their spot to work at. The lap desk will allow students to choose their learning spot and still have a sturdy place to complete their work. This is also a good way that I can social distance in my classroom since I will not have enough tables to space out twenty one kindergartners.
