The Paul Cuffee Track Team might be small in numbers, but they make up for it with heart! They train incredibly hard, push each other to succeed, and fearlessly work to master new techniques and events. As their coach, I could not be prouder of this dedicated group of student athletes. Our track team gets stronger each year. We were in the single digits for the first two years, but last year finished with fifteen super stars. This number is expected to explode next year, as there is a strong group of eighth graders moving up into the high school. These students were active members of the middle school team, and some have already competed as guests at our high school meets! At Paul Cuffee, the basketball and baseball teams tend to get all the glory, and the track team is fine with that. They just want to get outside, have a great workout, master new skills, and go home knowing that they gave it their all.
