I am filling my classroom library with a wide variety of genres and topics so students will have many titles to pull from for their reading. I have chosen works from The Great American Read, from YALSA award winner lists, from modern reading lists, and from the cherished classics. I have even included Popular: Vintage Wisdom for a Modern Geek written by Statesboro High Student Maya Van Wagenen! These titles are works my students will embrace; hopefully, they will find that literature can change the way they view the world, each other and themselves. When reading becomes a habit for students, their achievement increases in every area and their passion for reading is developed. Please help me to fund my classroom library! We all thank you!
