Multiple copies of the same book will allow the students to participate and be a part of literature circles. Students that may not be able to read the text independently will still be able to follow along to a student or teacher reading aloud. With new Covid-19 restrictions I cannot have students sharing materials during Literature Circles. Multiple copies of the same book will also allow students to use the text to help them respond to the text. They will be able to look back to find supporting details, make personal connections, and validate his/her thinking using specific examples from the text.
