The LEGO EV3 kit is a versatile tool that students can use not just to solve building and programming problems at the LEGO level, but as solutions to problems in a much larger context. Students can even use these kits as metaphors of their learning. Since we will be studying the the expanding universe and the development of Earth, ideas that are very hard to understand, the EV3 sets are perfect for making that learning real. In our classroom we want students to solve real life problems, the EV3 set can be used with other materials and other programming platforms to do just that. The universe is the limit!
