Our school, K-8, is a school that serves students...from Preschool up to 8th Grade. We are in the heart of Barrio Logan, just south of downtown. We have limited space outdoor play space for our Preschool Students. Last December we found a nice shaded, grassy area and decided to make it a play/waiting area for our preschoolers. We've utilized the area to help give our students a chance to play while waiting for transportation. Our students come to school 12 hours a week, and we want them to learn and experience social opportunities with play as much as they can. These Donations will help create a safe and caring outdoor environment for my students. Storage is needed for this area, so that we can access toys quickly and organized. The Canopy will help create Shade for my students and will help keep their tables clean. The merry go round will help with gross motor skills and get some of their wiggles out before going in the classroom and going home. Time spent at school for these students is limited (12 hours a week), therefore any time that they are at school is an opportunity to learn and play.
