My first graders come with various learning backgrounds and life experiences. We strive for creativity each and every day in our classroom by using students' ideas, thoughts, and imagination to create stories, both fiction and nonfiction. One way we do this is with LEGOS and software from LEGO education. The students become so immersed in their writing and are so excited to create their stories with their friends and share it with others in the room. Our school is wonderful at encouraging new learning and ideas to use in the classroom. The administration is supportive in letting the teachers use different resources to expand on the teaching that is going on in the classroom.
