Scholastic News Magazine is a colorful, interesting magazine for children. It has diagrams which helps visual learners with difficult concepts. There are several "words to know" which is vitally important for English Language Learners. Reading and writing skills are enhanced by the graphic organizers, and the "read aloud" feature on the digital offers differentiation possibilities for exceptional children. There is even a Spanish version available! Scholastic News Magazine will give my students virtual experiences and will encourage their natural curiosity about the world around them. With this resource made available to my kids, they will become more engaged in their learning, which will in turn help them retain what they learn. My goal is for my students to remember their fourth grade year as their favorite year of school. I believe that receiving a magazine of their very own will help to accomplish that goal, as well as helping them become better readers and lifelong learners.
